Features: The “Salzburger Volksliedchor” is one of the best choirs in Austria and is a model of passing on traditional contemporary folk songs. On August 7th, the choir will be perform at Concert Hall of NCPA in Beijing.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

The Salzburger Volksliedchor (folk song choir) was established in 1950 by professor Sepp Dengg and is being managed by Berta Wagner. Musical director is Burgi Votterl.

The “Salzburger Volksliedchor” is one of the best choirs in Austria and is a figurehead and a model of maintaining and passing on traditional contemporary folk songs and choir yodels. Numerous CD... read more recordings and audio-clips as well as TV broadcasts illustrate the variety of the choir literature. In addition to the “Salzburger Adventsingen” in the festival hall the choir appears before the public with concerts, masses, passion singing. Various concert tours abroad complete the dedication of the choir. The number of members amounts to 70 singers.
