BRIEF INTRODUCTION

China PLA Military Orchestra
China PLA Military Orchestra is China's only national-level band for ceremonial services boasting of large scale and professionalism. The band undertakes major music performances at state and military ceremonies. It now has three symphonic sub-bands, and a production and educational institution. With some of China's best professionals in music conducting, composing, playing, singing, teaching and art management, it is now a vastly popular band - one of the best known in China and an influential member in the international sphere.

The orchestra has successfully performed at over 7,500 state and military ceremonies. Members of the band have been received and highly commended by party and state leaders, as well as foreign guests on many occasions. The band staged wonderful performances at NPC and CPPCC sessions, party representative congresses, National Day celebrations, celebrations marking Hong Kong and Macao's return to China, opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games, National Day military parade celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of new China, Shanghai World Expo, etc. The band has held more than 4,000 concerts, attracting an audience of over six million.
