Features: Rhythm across the Centuries: The percussion legend, Li Biao, will join The Percussion Ensemble of Berliner Philharmoniker to perform at Concert Hall of NCPA in Beijing on Saturday May 10th.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Li Biao, the phenomenal percussionist who has performed for a worldwide audience with music East and West and to unanimous acclaim, will grace the NCPA stage again during the NCPA May Festival 2014. Li is currently on the faculty of the Central Conservatory of Music in China and the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater in Munich. On this occasion, he will also be joined by the Philharmonic Percussion Group of Berlin, which is making its debut in Beijing, in an exciting interactive dialogue on percussion instruments. The Group is formed by preeminent percussionist from one of the world’s best orchestras, the Berlin Philharmonic. Principal Timpanist Rainer Seegers, Simon Rossler, Daniel Eichholz, and Franz Schindlbeck will also be in NCPA for this concert. Expect them to drum up a storm – it’s an experience definitely not to be missed!
