Features: My Fair Lady is a Broadway musical, setting a record for the longest run of any major musical theatre production in history. From June 9th -19th, My Fair Lady will be performing at Tiaoqiao Theatre in Beijing.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

My Fair Lady is a musical based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. The story concerns Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl who takes speech lessons from professor Henry Higgins, a phoneticist, so that she may pass as a lady. The original Broadway, London and film versions all starred Rex Harrison.

The musical's 1956 Broadway production was a momentous hit, setting a record for the longest run of any major musical theatre production in history. It was followed by a hit London production, a popular film version, and numerous revivals. It has been called "the perfect musical".

Sarah is thrilled to make her international debut in this production of MY FAIR LADY. In New York she has been seen in THE CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR, ELIOT'S SKETCHPAD, JUNK (A ROCK OPERA), LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Audrey), AIDA (Ammeris), and INTO THE WOODS (Cinderella). She has played in many regional theaters in the United States including, most recently, Joe Iconis’ THE BLACK SUITS at Barrington Stage. Some of her favorite roles have been playing Catherine in Arthur Miller's A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE , Nellie Forbush in Rodgers and Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC, Eponine in LES MISERABLES and Olive in SPELLING BEE . For television, Sarah appears on the CBS network's ELEMENTARY.

Richard has been performing professionally since the age of 15 as a solo voice with Jazz Ensembles and Symphony Orchestras. After University studies, Richard began a professional acting career and has lived, worked and toured out of NYC since the mid-eighties, performing in all U.S. Continental States, Canada and around the world in National and International Broadway Musical Tours. Theatrical accomplishments also include a successful Off-Broadway, nine month run, of his one man show, “Einstein”. Richard has appeared in over 30 Feature Films, and in mini series’ for NBC, ABC and CBS. He has also been seen on National Television in numerous Commercial appearances, including New York Life Insurance, Sam Adams Beer, Tylenol Arthritis Pain and Flonase Nasal Spray. Richard is also the co-author, Producer, Creator and Star of “Pass It On….. An Evening With Bill W. & Dr. Bob”, which toured the US and Canada and he is also featured in Northern Light Productions upcoming film documentary “One Day At A Time” from International Award Winning director, Susan Grey. Richard is honored to be performing in the beautiful country of China as Colonel Pickering in “My Fair Lady”.

Daniel Cardenas is thrilled to be returning to this classic musical and getting to experience China for the first time. Daniel comes from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and currently lives in New York City. He has performed for over 15 years with some favorite roles including Tony (West Side Story) and Seymour (Little Shop of Horrors) among others.
