The story tells that on an ocean liner, a world chess champion "Czentovich" who showed amazing talent since childhood was defeated by a mysterious passenger in the crowd! And this mysterious passenger is indeed an ordinary person, even very unfamiliar with chess. It was only because of an abnormal experience that he was able to defeat the world champion easily.
