BRIEF INTRODUCTION
This gala event, themed "Spring Blossoms, Autumn Harvests" and centered on the motif "Pomegranate Flowers in Bloom · Art Enriching the Tianshan Mountains," features a carefully selected range of representative works from the university's recent educational teaching and practical performances. These include the ethnic and folk dance "Mcagaiti Under the Sun," which has won both the Wenhua Award and the Lotus Award; the classical dance "Luster: Full Wall," inspired by the Kucha murals and which secured first prize at the National Undergraduate Arts Performance; the musical and dance piece "My Love for My Motherland," which interprets the intangible cultural heritage of humanity— Xinjiang Uyghur Muqam art; as well as multiple works that vividly showcase the cultural charm of Xinjiang, such as "The Green Field Dreams of the Balang People," "Xinjiang Folk Song Medley," and "Luanlan Imagery." This collection not only consolidates the university's achievements over the years but also serves as a vivid testament to the unity, perseverance, and collective efforts of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang to build a better homeland together.
The entire gala eschewed the simplistic, piecemeal format of a showcase performance, instead establishing a narrative framework titled "Preserving the Roots of Traditional Intangible Cultural Heritage – Celebrating the Spirit of the Contemporary Era." Every performance in the gala featured live traditional ethnic instrumental accompaniment, without the use of recorded music; traditional instruments—including the萨特尔, Aijieche, Dombra, and Kumzi—were prominently featured throughout the event, creating an integrated stage narrative that seamlessly combined music, song, dance, and epic storytelling.
