Peer Gynt is one of the representative works of drama master Ibsen, which explores such major philosophical propositions as the true meaning of life and way of life through the unrestrained, adventure, and tortuous life way of dude Peer Gynt. The story has both realistic elements and bizarre fantasy, hopping between reality and fantasticism.
Based on the realism creation principle, the version integrates the technique of expression of modern western drama with 'freehand' factors of traditional Chinese opera, and creates a strong atmosphere of poetic imagery in a contracted, plain and modern way, to render the rich and profound philosophical thinking of the classic.
