Concerto Italiano has achieved international benchmark status for ground-breaking interpretations of 17th and 18th century Italian music. Rinaldo Alessandrini
Founder and conductor of the ensemble Concerto Italiano, Rinaldo Alessandrini is also renowned as harpsichord, fortepiano and organ soloist, and is considered one of the most authoritative interpreters of Monteverdi. His deep knowledge and love of the Italian repertoire is mirrored in concert programmes full of the essential, but often elusive, expressive and cantabile elements which are the fundament of Italian music of the 17th and 18th century.
