BRIEF INTRODUCTION

The ballet follows the journey of the main characters as they receive their revolutionary education at the Whampoa Military Academy after the 3rd National Congress of the CPC. The work is based on the three-day battle of the Guangzhou Uprising. It reveals the glorious images of the revolutionary martyrs through episodes such as the establishment of the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic, the choice of the revolutionary path, the sacrifice of ZHANG Tailei, the heroic uprising, the loss of the entire female soldier squad for defending the long embankment and the erection of the red flag on the stage. The ballet adheres to the background of the times, combining realistic themes and romantic ballet art.
