Features: Since 1971, The Introdans Dance Company has grown into a top dance company in the world, On November 15th and 16th, They will presents maestro Jiri Kylian's programme at Opera Hose of NCPA.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Jiri Kylian (born Prague, 1947) began his dance career at Stuttgarter Ballet and made his debut as a guest choreographer in the Netherlands at Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) in 1973. His successful first choreography for NDT was Viewers, the first of a series of fifty choreographies specially for NDT.

Various works by Kylian have been performed by Introdans Ensemble for Youth: parts from Dream Dances (1997), three parts from Toy Stories (1999), Piccolo Mondo (1999), part of Symfonie in D (2002) and the famous Stamping Ground (2006). In the 2006/07 season Introdans Ensemble for Youth danced Kylian 4KIDS, a complete programme with works by Kylian, and for this the ensemble received a Silver Cricket in the category Most Impressive Production 2008. In the 2008/09 season work by Kylian was once again featured in the programme: Introdans Ensemble for Youth presented Un Ballo, a premiere for Introdans.

With a healthy dose of ambition, the Introdans Dance Company remains true to its mission to present high quality dance to a broad public. Since 2009 Introdans has been designated part of the basic national infrastructure of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. With the Canon of Introdans? the two dance ensembles present a varied and attractive modern ballet repertoire. As the city of Arnhem flagship company, Introdans performs in theatres throughout the Netherlands and travels the world: both ensembles are frequent guests on international stages.
