Founded in 1680, Comedie Francaise was composed of Moliere Troupe and other theaters in Paris by the then French King Louis XIV. In the past 300 years, it unswervingly adheres to the glorious art tradition, and attracts a large number of the most prestigious and the most legendary French playwrights, directors and performers. Up to now, a total of about 3000 French repertoires and repertoires of other countries are staged here.

Nowadays, Comedie Francaise has three theaters to stage classic and aggressive contemporary repertoires. Every year, over 350,000 audiences watch over 800 performances here. It also visits Europe, US, South Korea, Japan, Australia and South America, which tours in London, New York, Moscow and other cities in recent years.
