Features: Before the opening of the London Olympics, the Olympic Voice concert will bring you to London from China with classical music. On July 2nd, Beijing Symphony Orchestra will presents the "Olympic Voice" at Opera House of NCPA.
BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Beijing Symphony Orchestra selects a large number of tracks related to sport and the Olympics, such as John Williams' The Olympic Fanfare and Theme and Summon the Heroes, You and Me (theme song of the Beijing Olympic Games) and new work composed by famous Chinese composer Guo Wenjing for the London Olympic Games 2012. Beijing Symphony Orchestra will also visit London and give a tour performance before the Game begins.
Beijing Symphony Orchestra
Beijing Symphony Orchestra, founded in October 1977, is one of the renowned symphony orchestras in China, with which Mr. Tan Lihua acts as Music Director and Principal Conductor. Chinese maestros Mr. Li Delun and Mr. Huang Feili, who ever held the artistic consultant for a long time, have made enormous contribution to the development of the orchestra.
Beijing Symphony Orchestra has a large number of musicians versed in arts and some of them are the national or international award-winning artists. Through its long-term continuous performances, the orchestra has grown into one of the most popular large music ensembles in China for its solid musicianship and rich repertoires it can offer.
