Founded in 2007, the Vienna Cello Ensemble 5+1 with all its members coming from the Vienna Phiharmonic performs extensive tunes from works at Baroque period to modern music represented by Beatles.

Speaking of the most wonderful string music of the world, the first coming to people's mind is surely the most celebrated Vienna Phiharmonic. And the sextet founded by Gehaerte Kaufman, a famous cello soloist and member of the Supreme Art Committee of Vienna Phiharmonic, consisted of six cello soloists from Vienna Phiharmonic, is about to present you the most beautiful bass melodies. They will use the deep, resonant and affectionate tone generated by six cellos to play some emotional, passionate and transcending tunes that only the 90 people orchestra could achieve.

For the changing of tunes, they will break the rules – make each player showcase their flawless skills and personalized music through a drama-like performance rather than guided by the fixed seat of honor.
