BRIEF INTRODUCTION
China Radio and Chinese Orchestra, with a roster of nearly 100 members, is officially established on the basis of consolidating the former China Radio Chinese Orchestra, and the former Chinese Orchestra of China Film Philharmonic Orchestra.
With the efforts and endeavor of famous conductor and composer, Peng Xiuwen, the Orchestra develops its framework based on the bow and string instrument, plucked instrument, wind instrument and percussion instrument. Now this framework is wildly referred or copied by many domestic and foreign Art groups. Together with other composers, Peng has written almost 1000 works, such as Happiness, Purple Bamboo Melody, and The Liberating Day. His music has made great contribution for national music symphonization.
During the past fifty years, the two former Orchestras have performed and recorded thousands of music works of movies, TV dramas, radio programmes and other albums, many of which are still reserved ones among Chinese national music circle. The collaboration of the Orchestra has been marked by a distinguished roster of great artists and conductors such as Peng Xiuwen, Liu Mingyuan, Hu Haiquan, Zhang Lie, Jiang Kemei and Zhang Shao, etc.
