BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Known as the golden cradle nurtured the New China, Yan'an will always be the Holy Land of Chinese revolution cherished in people's heart. The Poetry Dance Yan'an Memory play highlights the magnificent course that the Central Committee headquartered in Yan'an guides its people to rise from tribulation and fight for emancipation, artistically unfolding a vehement and magnificent history scroll, behind of which lies the ideological guidelines of maintaining right political orientation, emancipating the minds and seeking truth from facts, the fundamental principle of serving people with heart and soul, and the enterprising spirit of self-reliance and hard struggle. Such is the great and profound Yan'an Spirit, which reveals the deep connection between the Communist Party and Chinese people. Yan'an Memory calls for people of the present age to reflect on Yan'an Spirit and enlightens them to draw strength from it.

SYNOPSIS

Yan'an Memory manifests the memorable days engraved on the revolution holy land in virtue of classic patriotic songs and folk songs and dances of northern Shaanxi Province combined with the poetic structure and "Memory" method, and at the same time accentuates the local color and demonstrates the deep regards for sharing the weal and woe between the Party and the people by employing pure, touching and fresh style, modern aesthetic perspective and techniques of expression.

Being an integral part of national ethos, Yan'an Spirit at that time shoulders its own historical responsibility, which being the epitome of our national spirit deserves us to commemorate and cherish. The dance poem Yan'an Memory embodies the spirit and state of the historical responsibility that implies profound spirit and noble content – positive, cheerful, rich and unselfish.
